A pair of pressed brass Travel Candlesticks which are also known as Brighton Buns. Camp or Military Candlesticks.
For travel, the two sconces are simply unscrewed from their dishes to pack the candlesticks. With the sconces placed in one of the dishes, the other dish can be screwed onto it to contain them and form a bun shaped packing case.
Both the dishes and the sconces are made from pressed brass and this, along with their size helps to date them to either side of 1900.
