A steel, wood and brass model of a Cannon.
The cannon looks like it maybe a RML (Rifled Muzzle Loading) Field Cannon. The five ring brass barrel can be elevated by turning the wheel to the carriage with the two steel cogs visible underneath. Either side of the barrel, on the axel, are boxes with a metal step to the front and a metal frame to the side. Ammunition boxes could be fitted here. The wheels are made of wood with a steel rim. Apart from the brass parts, the cannon is painted dark green.
This a good sized model that would look good on a desk. Early to mid 20th Century.
