Steel Safe Box

Steel Safe Box

£125

A steel Safe Box with a brass carrying handle to the top.

The safe is painted black with decorative lines to the top and a red interior. It retains its original key which needs to be turned twice to open the lock. The underside of the safe is painted in yellow with a maker's mark. It is worn but consists of a horizontal diamond within another and the possible letters JBE above.

This was probably made for use as a cash box for a shop keeper or in the home. Circa 1900.
