This brass Magnifying Glass with fine leather grip is of a size that makes it both useful on a desk or to carry around. It can be sat on the page of a book and moved along easily as it doesn't have a handle but equally it sits comfortably between the forefinger and thumb if held.
The case is made of green leather on card. Early to mid 19th Century.
