Crown Travel Inkwell

Crown Travel Inkwell

Sold

A leather on brass, novelty Travel Inkwell in the form of a Crown.

Although probably never intended for travel, a number of novelty inkwells in different forms were made either side of 1900 with a secure, padded interior lid to prevent spills.

To the front of the crown is a hidden, sprung button that releases the top when pushed. A further sprung lid seals the glass bottle. The leather is painted to resemble a crown and a brass gothic cross sits to the top. Circa 1900
