A silver plated Military Condiment Set by Walker & Hall.
The set has a knight in armour holding a flaming torch to the centre with a glass lined drum with spoon to one side and a salt seller in the form of a cannon barrel to the other. To the centre front is a large cannon ball which probably had a glass liner originally. They all sit on a naturalistic, shaped base which has a pith helmet and a broke sword.
The underside of the base is stamped 'Walker & Hall Sheffield England 11804' with the company's flag logo and the further reference number 78. More is written about Walker & Hall under Makers. Circa 1900.
