An unnamed brass compass with removable cover to protect the glass.

The paper dial is marked with the 32 points and each quarter shows 90 degrees. The compass also has a locking slide catch. It is a little large than most pocket compasses and has a felt slip case with moth holes. Mid to late 19th Century.
