England Expects was produced for the bicentenary celebrations of The Battle of Trafalgar and naturally there is a section dedicated to antique Naval and Ship Board items.
One of the most interesting items in the catalogue is Lawrence Fell's invoice to Captain Keith Elphinstone for his Naval Furniture. An article by Treve Rosoman based on the invoice gives a wonderful insight it gives into the life of a late 18th century naval officer, his furniture and how he entertained as part of his duties.
The catalogue also illustrates a wonderful 3 part Cylinder Bureau Cabinet, Lt. Colonel Balfour's Cabinet on folding stand which has interesting Australian connections, an early campaign Sedan Desk Chair, a Camp Stool by Charles Green and a silver Portable Tea Set by Tonnel.
