A copper and brass Bed Warming Pan with a shaped ash handle, made to dismantle for travel.

This pan differs to the other in that it has a much larger reservoir and a shorter handle. It also has 2 brass caps for filling and emptying the water, 1 to the middle of the pan and 1 to the neck which is covered by the handle when attached. Whereas the cap to the pan has a funnel to catch any spillage, making it easier to fill, the cap to the neck makes is easier for emptying the water. Curiously the handle wont screw on to its full extent as the cap prevents it from doing so. This was presumably an oversight on the maker's part. Circa 1900.
