A rosewood and brass folding Bootjack.

This Boot Jack is made to standard form, with it folding in half along its length and the interior, or underside, carved out to hold the tools. This one is elevated above a number by the fact that it is made of rosewood with brass feet and the shape is a little more considered.

The interior has one folding boot pull with hook and a space for a second, now missing, pull. It also has a replaced locking pin which is fixed through the two open, hinged halves of the Jack to stop it folding whilst in use. When folded, there is a hook to lock the two halves together.

This is a good quality Boot Jack. Mid 19th Century.

Folded size is given.
