A gilt brass floating Compass with lid.
The dial is marked with the 8 points of the compass with a Fleur de Lys arrow to north and each quarter marked up to 90 degrees. The lid has a serrated moulding to the edge to grip it to pull off.
The compass is a good, medium size and in working order. Mid to late 19th Century.
