A large brass compass with a hanging ring.
The compass' paper dial is marked with all 32 points with north signified by a Fleur de Lys. The outside edge is also marked with degrees.
The paper label has a tear and has lifted a little. Other condition points are a small chip to the glass by the hanging ring edge and a minor dent to the side of the case at the east point.
The compass is a good size and it's a little unexpected to have a hanging ring on such a large case. Late 19th Century.
