A good sized Anglo-Indian brass Campaign Bucket.

This form of bucket are known as campaign buckets because they were primarily made for the British and East India Company armies in India. A number of small manufacturers made them and so, although they all follow a similar form, you do get some variations.

This example is larger than the more common size, shown in the last image for comparison. The gauge of brass used is also a little thinner and it has a stepped foot with a turned over edge. The handle eyelets are both stamped 5 which probably relates to its size or model number.

Useful as both a wastepaper basket or a wine cooler. Mid to late 19th Century.

The smaller bucket in the last photo is sold separately on this website.
