A three fold stained oak campaign mirror which takes the standard box mirror one step further.
With the more common one plate mirror, the box contains a removable looking glass that can be adjusted on its angle when it is sat in the box base. This version has three mirror plates; one in the box and one set into each half of the cover boards. The box is sat on its edge with the two opened cover boards supporting it and giving a larger mirror. The back is stamped 8792 in the manner of the Army & Navy CSL. The cover boards have brass knobs to open them and there is a hanging chain fixed to rings to the top edge. An interesting version of a campaign box mirror. Late 19th Century.
