A pair of silver plate on brass Travel Candlesticks.

The dishes of these Brighton Buns are cast with Rococo C scrolls to the edge and centre of the base. In contrast, the sconces are plain but do stand out for having a ring handle allowing the candlesticks to be easily carried. They are engraved to the dish interiors with the owner's initials of I (or J) H C. They are also stamped with a worn marker's mark of M B (or R) & Co. along with the number 170.

To pack them for travel, the sconces are unscrewed and sit with their holding ring around the central screw fitting to the dish. Circa 1870.

Packed size is given.
