A Toleware Tin Cash Box.

The box is painted in a faux oak with three wide, raised simulated brass bands and a gilt moulded edge to both the top and bottom section where they meet. The interior is painted black.

The Cash Tin has a Secure Lever lock which retains its key. When open, the tray can be removed. It has a simple clip fastening and the interior has two dividers to make three compartments. The tray sits on support brackets to the corners to leave a well, the full size of the box, below. The top has a good brass handle to carry it. Circa 1900.
