The protective case for this glass tumbler is made of Morocco red leather with a tan leather interior.
It divides in half on the hinge line, when the gilt wire clasp is released, to open. The glass is plain and although bigger than a shot glass can be considered small. This would have been useful to any traveller or sporting gentleman. Circa 1875.
