A set of 3 Bandalasta Ware Travel Beakers in a leather case by Brookes and Adams of Birmingham.

The beakers are coloured to imitate horn. The underside of each beaker is marked Bandalasta Ware Regd. 165 A, BCM / Banda, Made in England.

Bandalasta was the trade name given to a range of wares made from a plastic formed from a synthetic resin invented by British Chemists in the 1920s. Its qualities included its strength, lightness and the variety of colours it could be produced in. All of these made it perfect for travel and it was quickly adopted for use in picnic sets. Motoring, shipboard and garden use were also well suited for Bandalasta.

This set of 3 graduated beakers in leather case can still be used today whether on a picnic or for field sports. Circa 1930.
