This folding silver plated tray by Asprey's was probably meant for use on picnics. It packs down neatly for travel and locks in the open position by means of a nut. It is marked to the handle with the maker's name Asprey London, as well as a patent number 1437-11 and a model number. 21607.
Asprey's also made a rectangular version of this sandwich or cake tray. Circa 1920.
