A 9 inch Desk Globe on a turned, ebonised stand by Arnold.
E.J. Arnold of Leeds, Glasgow and Belfast were educational printers, manufacturers and suppliers and so it's likely this Globe was made intended for school use. It shows both the cold and warm currents as well as the principal steamboat routes.
The general condition is good although, as can be seen on the photographs, the varnish has deteriorated in places,
The Irish Free State is shown which dates the Globe to between 1922 and 1937.
