A small brass bound, mahogany Toiletry Box with rounded edges.
The box has a lift out tray with a removable red leather pad to take two razors. The tray is also divided to take a strop, comb and portable shaving brush etc. The interior of the lid also has some red leather lining with two swing clips and originally would have held a mirror in place, which has now gone. The well under the tray is plain.
The box is well made with the moulding cut in to the top edge of the tray perhaps a sign of its quality. The shaped, inset brass, engraving name plate is plain. Mid 19th Century.
