A set of four Regent Plate Beakers in a leather case by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths.
Regent Plate was the name that the company gave to their high quality silver plated wares to define its quality. The top of the beakers flare out and the interiors have a gilt wash. The undersides of the beakers are stamped Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, 112 Regent Street, W. Regent Plate. The company was started by William Gibson and John Langman in 1880 and they were patronized by Royalty. They were situated on Regent Street, London and joined Garrards in 1952. Early 20th Century.
