A Nickel Roundlet Travel Corkscrew.

To use, one half of the barrel is unscrewed to reveal the end of the worm which can then be pulled out to drop on its hinge at a right angle to the barrel. Screwing the removed half of the barrel back in place locks the corkscrew into position for use. When closed, the size is easy to slip into a pocket.

The Corkscrew is stamped Plum to the widest point of the barrel and this is likely to be the maker rather than an owner. It is unusual to find a name stamped to these corkscrews and it adds interest. Late 19th Century.

Closed Size is Given.
