Roorkhee Campaign Chair
7388
A teak Roorkhee Chair unusual for having a head rest.
This Roorkhee has square sections to the joints making it is a little more stable than those with or conical sections.
This chair is likely to be Anglo Indian and is one of two very similar chairs we have. The leg ends in a bun foot which is more practical for use on a flat surface. Those with a pointed foot are better suited to outside use.
The leather arm straps, canvas and bag have been replaced to make it suitable for modern use. Circa 1900.
