A satin birch Backrest for use whilst picnicking or in bed etc.
It's adjustable to seven different elevations for comfort. The back of the foot is also hinged to reduce its depth for use in a confined space.
There is a little minor damage to some of the caning but nothing that would prevent its use. This is quite a practical piece of furniture and quite useful in the summer or if you enjoy reading in bed. Early to mid 20th Century.
