This teak folding chair has a single set position but it does have a folding leg rest for added comfort.

The joints are open mortise with through tenons but they are not pegged. The other joints are metal pivot rods to allow it to fold. The shaped arms are wide enough to offer good support and the right hand one has a hole cut to hold a glass or beaker. The ends of the chair are strengthened with sheet brass caps to offer protection. They also give a little decoration as does the shaped cut out to the front stretcher. Early 20th Century.
