A padouk folding and adjustable campaign Chair with a slung seat.
The side profile of this chair has a pleasing shape to the front leg which sweeps down from the arm. The front legs have brass plates to the sides with 4 holes which are used to set the position of the steel rod that supports the front edge of the seat. Moving the rod to a different position adjusts the angle of the back. The slung seat has been reupholstered in leather and hangs from brass hooks to the top of the back. These hooks can also be set to a choice of two positions.
This form of folding chair was made by a number of different companies both in Britain and in India either side of 1900.
