Anglo Indian Portable Teapot

Anglo Indian Portable Teapot

Sold

An Anglo Indian silver plated Campaign Teapot.

Two canisters, which have sprung lids, fit snugly inside the pot and the milk jug fits to the outside. The jug and teapot are marked with a stag's head and the name Soonder Lall P.S. Agra. All four pieces are stamped 124, which is presumably the quality of a model number. The teapot handle is insulated from heat by two ebony discs. A good sharp design that despite its age has a modern feel to it. Early 19th Century.
