A leather cased picnic Tea Set.

The case contains a metal pan with folding, wicker covered handles which in turn, holds 2 enamelled cups, a screw top container holding a glass sugar pot, a pair of teaspoons, a spirit heater and a spirit reservoir. All the components fit neatly inside the pan with the sugar pot inside the cups, the reservoir inside the heater which is inside the pan stand that has fittings to hold the spoons upright. When the pan is removed from the case, the pair of saucers, held by a leather band, can be lifted out from underneath.

There are no maker's or retailer's marks to the set other than to the spoons which look to be marked Ceed Alpacca with a diamond logo with an arrow through the centre. Alpacca refers to the zinc, brass and silver alloy the spoons are made of. The case has a fishtail handle to the top and a sprung fastening clip to the lid. Early to mid 20th Century.
