Held in a pigskin leather wallet, this set of seven razors are marked on their individual pockets with each day of the week in gilt.

The wallet interior is made of suede and also has a pocket for a strop. Each razor is marked 'Finnigan, Manchester' to the top of the steel blade and has an ivory handle. The case is stamped in gilt 'Finnigan, Manchester & Liverpool'.

The owner's initials of 'J.A.S.' are stamped to the exterior. Finnigans were highly respected luggage makers from the North West of England. Their manufactory was at Deansgate in Manchester. They are known for their quality and this reputation saw them expand their business at the turn of 1900 to premises in New Bond Street, London. Late 19th century.
