A mahogany, oval Campaign Mirror with two looking glasses.
The mirror has both a standard and a magnifying mirror for use when shaving etc. The glasses are held in place by decorative boxwood and ebony stringing and the mirror has further ebonized inlay for decoration.
It can be hung by means of a small brass ring or the mirror will fold back on itself with the unused mirror acting as a foot. When travelling, the two mirrors fold against each other so that the glasses are protected. The lock to each other with a sprung clip lock which is released by depressing a button. Early 19th century.
