A boxed set of faux wood, bakelite Combination Chess and Draughts pieces.
The label to the box gives the name St. George Series, Made in England.
The reversible counter are marked to one side with chess men and the other as roundels for draughts or checkers. The chess pieces are highlighted with red and white paint. As the pieces are all counters, they are naturally more compact and so more practical for travel. Early 20th Century
Each counter is just over 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
