Leather Cased Cutlery & Cup Set
Leather Cased Cutlery & Cup Set
82558
A leather cased Travel Cutlery and Cup Set with corkscrew and small salt flask.
This is a neat little set with the knife and fork made as a slotted pocket knife, sliding apart at the handle to form separate implements. The shaped handle is ivory on brass with steel. The steel corkscrew also has an ivory handle. The telescopic cup is nickel plated with a gilt wash to the interior. The flask is made of glass with a stopper and the nickel plated cap is pierced for it to be used for salt.
The case is lined in green velvet with silk to the lid and is fitted to hold each component in place. There is no maker's name but this is a well-considered set of travel cutlery and a little unusual to most in design. Circa 1900.
Case size is given.
Please note this set cannot be shipped to the USA and needs a Cites certificate to be sent abroad.
