This set of silver plate, slotted cutlery has a slight pistol grip to the ivory handle.
As its name suggests the two handle sections slide apart to allow the knife and fork to be used separately. The blade is steel and stamped with the retailer's name of Asprey with their address of 166 Bond Street. The fork is silver plated and stamped with pseudo silver marks giving the maker's initials 'JR & S' and 'BP' The fork also has a corkscrew. Third quarter 19th century.
