A good bronze Model of a Cannon.
The Cannon is the same design as that which can be found at Mt. Victoria, Wellington, New Zealand which was used to fire the noon signal from 1877 to 1900.
It has a removable elevator for adjusting the barrel and working wheels. A number of cannon towards the end of the 19th century had iron bases. This model follows that form although made of bronze. It is a well modelled and made piece. Mid to late 19th Century.
