A large leather Collar Box lined in silk and with a velvet pad to the lid interior to hold studs.
The lid is fixed with a nickel plated, sprung slide catch and is stamped with the owner's initials R.J.P.J. to the top. The maker's details of Drew & Sons, 33 Piccadilly Circus is marked in gilt to the silk lining. Drew were exceptional manufactures of leather goods and campaign furniture who still enjoy a good reputation today.
This Collar Box is large than most and could be used to store a variety of items. Late 19th Century.
