Roorkhee Chair with Head Rest

A teak Roorkhee Campaign Chair unusual for having a head rest.
This Roorkhee is a little more stable than most due to the square sections to the joints Most have round or conical sections giving more movement to the joints.
This chair is likely to be Anglo Indian and is one of two very similar chairs we have. The leg terminates in a turned bun foot which is more practical for use on a flat surface, as opposed to the point foot of some Roorkhee which are better suited to outside use.
The leather arm straps and canvas has been replaced to make it suitable for use. We have also made a canvas bag to store the chair when not in use. Circa 1900.
