A large printed cotton Union Jack Flag on pole.
The flag would probably have been patriotically hung on State celebrations, public holidays and street parties by a shop, business of private individual rather than a public body. The printed cotton flag is tacked to a blue painted wooden pole topped with a turned finial. The edges have some fraying, which is worse to the corners, and there is some paint loss to the pole but perhaps this is not unexpected. Mid 20th Century.
Size of flag is given. The height of the pole is 7 ft 3 " (221 cm)
