A round leather Collar Box with a dark red interior.
This collar box is a standard design, made by a number of different companies either side of 1900. The top and the bottom of the box are made as separate pieces, held together by a belt strap which is stitched to the back of the bottom half. The strap passes through two loops to the top section and is secured with a buckle to the front of the bottom section.
Collar boxes are a useful size for storing smaller items, as well of course for collars. Early 20th Century.
