A brass Kit Bag Lock by Harrods Ltd. with a dark patina.
As with most Kit Bag locks, it has an associated padlock. It is a fairly standard size but the shape of the bow to the handle is a little taller than most.
The Harrods name is cast to the handle of the Kit Bag lock. A large number of different makers and retailers sold Kit Bag Locks but most are anonymous with no maker's mark. Circa 1900.
