A brass Compass with a folding Magnifying Glass.
A slightly different version of this combined compass and magnifying glass was sold with a leather slip case which described it as The Scout's Friend Till Journey's End. Both the magnifying glass and compass would be useful when map reading. The cord to this one is a later addition which is easily removed. Circa 1930.
