Leather Drinking Cup in Case

Leather Drinking Cup in Case

Sold

A leather drinking Cup in Case which is creased to flatten to a quarter of its size for packing.

The cup is hemmed, to give a better drinking edge, with a double line of stitching. The case is well made with fine stitching and the whole is very compact when packed. The Army & Navy Store Club Ltd listed a similar cup in their catalogue of 1907 at 2 price levels, 3/3 and 3/10. The case to this cup is marked W.J.H.J. in ink to the back. The design and use of materials is very clever in giving a compact travel cup. Circa 1900.
