A large, brass bound, mahogany Campaign Box.
The exact use for this box, if it had one is not known but originally it had a central divider to the interior. It is unusual in that it has a swan neck handle to the front of the lid and brass carrying handles to the sides. You might expect no handle to the lid. It is larger than many such boxes and provides good storage. Early to mid 19th Century.
