A leather hide Mule Trunk with iron fixing rings to the back and leather carrying handles.
This Mule Trunk is smaller and probably a little earlier than most seen. It is stamped with a broad arrow mark between C and 11 along with Ca20. It has 2 belts to fix it and a hasp to take a padlock. The faded initials JFY are painted to the top. The broad arrow denotes that this trunk was Government issue as opposed to a private purchase. The interior is lined in linen and plain. Late 19th Century.
