A mahogany Boot Rack by Platt. with serrated brass strips to hang the boots on.

Although called a Boot Rack in The Army and Navy catalogue it can of course be used for shoes as well. When assembled it has two rows of teeth on either side, allowing a large number of boots and shoes to be hung. It breaks down easily and flat packs for convenience of travel. The rack is stamped and although it is worn Platt's Pate...No. 2584... and... Drier Improved Portable Folding B... is legible. It stands on small bun feet with brass carrying handles and is held in place both when assembled and broken down by brass thumb bolts. Circa 1900 -20.
