A mahogany, brass bound military chest in two parts by Alex Boswell.
The chest is made of a good quality, dark mahogany and has ash drawer linings and pine back boards. The replaced feet are removable, screwing on with wooden threads. All of the drawers, except the top right, have a Boswell label to their inside back. The bottom drawer has a longer, more detailed label whilst the other 3 have the smaller label. A good quality, standard campaign chest by an interesting maker. Made in the third quarter 19th Century.
