Lincoln Bennett

Lincoln Bennett were highly thought of London hat makers, with a long history.

The 1846 trade directory records them at 2 Sackville Street, Piccadilly and they kept this address, expanding to add No. 1 and 3, into the 20th century. They also had premises at 58 Union Street, Borough, 24 Nelson Square, 19 & 20 Charlotte Street, Blackfriars Road and 40 Piccadilly W. They were hatters to T.R.H. the Prince and Princess of Wales and won various gold medals at exhibitions in Philadelphia, Paris, Sydney, Melbourne, Calcutta, Adelaide, London and Chicago between 1876 and 1893. It was said that they covered 'more aristocratic crowned heads in their time than any other firm in the world".
