A mahogany, folding Coaching Table.
Although a fairly standard design, Coaching Tables are very practical for providing an extra surface when needed or a table for drinks etc. This one has a nicely shaped leg and good turning to the stretchers. There is a some wear to an area close to one corner, which is illustrated. It has good stability and is easily folded by twisting the locking bar to the underside and lifting the 2 ends of the table up towards each other. Mid to late 19th Century.
