An Anglo Indian rosewood Campaign Tripod Table.

The legs are crisply turned out of rosewood with each breaking down into 2 parts all united by the central ball. The leg parts screw into the ball and all are numbered, from 1 to 6, to locate their correct position. The underside of the top has 3 bars that form a triangle with rounded cut outs to their corners. The top of the legs fit into and are held in place by these bars. Unscrewing one of the bars allows the legs to be removed.

The top of the table is inlaid with an ivory and wood floral border and a ring of flowers to the centre. The top has faded to a mellow colour in contrast to the darker colour to its underside. This is a good looking table which stands out for the boldness of the turned legs. Mid 19th Century.
