Staffordshire Figure of Napoleon
A small Staffordshire pottery Figure of Napoleon.
A number of different figures of Napoleon were made in the Staffordshire potteries. Despite being an enemy of Britain, he was a well known and fascinating figure and the same holds true today with the subject.
He is coloured with a blue coat, pink waistcoat with green collar and black boots. The figure has gilt highlights. There are no maker's marks that we can see. Circa 1840 to 1845.
